SHANA KERLANDER

Shana Kerlander has led Mandelbaum House as CEO since May 2005, having first been involved with the College prior to its opening in 1995 through her role as AUJS President at the University of Sydney. She has also held leadership roles including Hillel Director of Student Services at Shalom College, UNSW.

A qualified teacher, Shana has worked across education and business development, with a strong focus on student wellbeing and community building. Her diverse experience includes working as a tour leader in Sydney and across 11 countries and 35 cities throughout Europe, as well as on cruise ships in the South Pacific. In 2020, she was awarded the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies President’s Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to fostering a safe, inclusive, and cohesive community in NSW.
