2015 Application Update (updated January 2015): As a small college, we strive to maintain a balance between male and female & Australian and International residents. Most Australian students only find out if they are offered a place at the University of Sydney in January and we often find we have new openings after this information is released as some students opt to change Universities and live elsewhere.
We currently have some male applicants on a waiting list and these students will be given priority if we have any new openings for semester one. It is therefore not advisable to apply for a place for semester one if you are male as your chance is slim to receive a place. We have some places still available for female students and interviews are currently taking place for these final spots. It is therefore advised if you are a female student looking for a place at Mandelbaum that you should get your application in as soon as possible.
The check-list below will guide you through the application process:
Once we have received all of the above, you will receive an email to arrange an interview. All applications are reviewed by the CEO, who interviews prospective residents before an offer is made. If feasible, applicants will be interviewed at the college, otherwise telephone interviews will be conducted.
If your interview is successful, you will be emailed a letter of offer and a residential agreement. In order to confirm a place you will need to complete the following within the time frame as per your letter of offer:
- Return your signed Residency Agreement.
- Pay the Security Bond ($1000), Registration Fee ($255) and Orientation Week fee incl 8 nights accommodation, meals, activities and t-shirt. ($598)
