How to apply

Thank you for your interest!

We welcome applications to Australian and international students who have turned 18 years old once they commence living at Mandelbaum House.

Mandelbaum House is full for semester one 2024. If you would still like to apply and join the waitlist, please submit an application as per below. Interviews will be offered if there is a new opening and a possibility to offer you a spot for semester one.

We are accepting applications for semester two 2024. Interviews will commence in March.

To apply, please complete the following:

1. Complete an online application form.
2. Arrange one referee to complete an online referee report.
3. Pay the $100 application fee.

Once we have received all of that, we will email you to arrange an interview. The CEO reviews all applications and interviews prospective residents before an offer is made. Interviews are in person at the college if possible, or by telephone or zoom.

How to confirm your place

If your interview is successful, we’ll email you a Letter of Offer and a residential agreement. The Letter of Offer will outline the time-frame for completing this process.

To confirm your place:

1. Return your signed Residency Agreement to admin@mandelbaum.usyd.edu.au
2. Fill in the New Resident Family Details Form 
3. Pay the security bond $1500 and registration fee $365. (NB 2023 fees, may increase)
4. *Email a copy of your vaccination certificate to admin@mandelbaum.usyd.edu.au

*Please note, all residents need to have received primary vaccination against Covid-19 in accordance to ATAGI guidelines and will email a vaccination certificate when accepting an Offer of Residence.
